The Brazilian affection for sugar and coconut is best expressed in this dessert. Quindão, the large “pie,” or quindim, an individual tart the size of a silver dollar, is taken with afternoon tea or coffee and sold at pastry shops throughout the country.
In a food processor, blender, or electric mixer, beat the egg yolks, whole eggs, and sugar until thick and lemon colored, about 5 minutes.
