When I was asked to identify which cake is the hardest one to make, I thought millefeuille would be the one. First, you have puff pastry, then two different types of icing - chocolate and lemon. The hardest part is piping the intricate chocolate pattern on top before the lemon icing sets within a matter of seconds. Dad always made it look so easy. But if I can make it, anyone can.
