Dips, as we called fondant fancies, are petite cakes that were made in all our family tea shops. My brother Johnny helped Dad to dip the cakes and had to be careful not to burn his fingers in the fondant. They were decorated with fondant icing in different colours: pink, yellow and white. Dad often recreated dominoes with chocolate dots on these fancies. You can be as creative as time allows with the decoration. These pretty fondant fancies always brighten up afternoon tea.
