Tom Gilliland

Tom Gilliland is co-owner and curator of Austin's beloved interior-style Mexican restaurant Fonda San Miguel. Gilliland grew up in the American Midwest but lost his heart to Mexican art and culture as a young man, and spent the next 40 years creating a unique restaurant with a distinctive and magical aura. Tom has sourced and commissioned original art from some of Mexico’s finest painters and graphic artists, making the restaurant a culinary and artistic destination for Austin visitors for decades.
