Jason Wang is the CEO and owner of Xi’an Famous Foods, who expanded his family-founded business into a New York City institution beloved by locals and tourists alike. Starting first as a cashier in Chinatown, he moved his way into the kitchen before taking on all operations for XFF restaurants, with multiple locations. In 2013, Wang was named an Eater Young Gun as well as a Zagat 30 Under 30. In 2014, Wang was listed as a Forbes 30 Under 30 and a Crain’s 40 Under 40. And in 2020, he received a James Beard Award nomination for Outstanding Restaurateur. After all these years, he still eats the Liang Pi “Cold Skin Noodles” and the Spicy Cumin Lamb Noodles on the regular. He lives in Queens, New York.
