Rhône - Alpes

Lyon is the second-largest city in France. It is famed for its cuisine and is the gateway to the south. It is also home to the large wine regions of the Côtes du Rhône and Beaujolais. The city of Lyon boasts more bistros, cafés and restaurants per head than anywhere in the world; on every corner you come across an eating house. Traditionally, these were called bouchons and were places that offered a glass of wine and typical traditional Lyonnais food — meat, offal, duck and sausages. There are still many all over Lyon and, although only a few belong to Les Authentiques Bouchons Lyonnais, many of the others are also good.
