  • About

The Japanese created this thick, aromatic sauce to complement their deep-fried breaded pork cutlets, called tonkatsu. The sauce is made from fruits (such as apples) and vegetables (such as tomatoes) and is also delicious served with fried shrimp and chicken. Bottles of tonkatsu sōsu can be found at any Oriental grocery; store as you would ketchup.
