Procedure for Assembling Pocket Sandwiches

  • About
  1. Warm the pocket bread in a countertop oven until it softens and becomes pliable.
  2. Place the bread on a cutting board and cut it into 2 half-circles. Allow to cool 1–2 minutes.
  3. Open each half and apply the spread to both sides of the interior of each pocket (A).

  4. Place the internal garnishes in the pockets. Arrange them to rest against the walls of the pockets, leaving space for the filling in between.
  5. Place the filling in the pockets (B, C). If sliced deli meats are used, fluff the meats before placing in the pockets.

  6. Stand the pockets upright in a paper-lined sandwich basket (D), or prop one against another on a plate.
