Chicken pulao is a quicker and simpler version of mutton pulao. The only difference when making chicken pulao compared to mutton pulao, is that the process of making the broth is replaced by simply just adding garam masala powder.
Fry the onions until golden-brown.
Add all the ingredients for garam masala (green cardamom, black cardamom, cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon, cumin seeds) and fry for a few minutes.
Add the chicken, ginger paste, garlic paste and fry for a few minutes. Add yoghurt, mace, nutmeg powder, garam masala powder and salt, and fry for 5-6 minutes.
