Along with my Beet and Hazelnut Burgers, these were my inaugural burger mixes. I developed this recipe while working at 61 Local, in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, where the proprietor, Dave Liatti, generously allowed me to use his kitchen and add my burgers to the menu so as to gauge customer thoughts. Over time, I removed the almonds from the recipe, in order to make them a bit more versatile, flavor-wise. But the way the floral notes of the alm
