The idea of serving a fruit salad may seem quite dull and outdated to many people. But try this as a simple, quick dessert or snack for a beautiful, summer day. It shouldn’t be necessary to add any more sugar than indicated if your fruit is ripe and of the best quality. You may add or use whichever fresh fruits are in season.

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • juice of 1 orange
  • juice of 1

Method

Peel the bananas and slice them into a large bowl. Add the lemon and orange juice. Cut up the apples, pears and the kiwi fruit into fairly thick but easy-to-eat slices and add to the bowl. Leave the skins on the nectarines, plums and peaches. Cut in 1 cm (½ in) slices towards the stone, then cut the slices away from the stone.
