My kids love these, and since we don’t really have many fried foods at home, I don’t mind making them as a treat now and then. Personally, I prefer to simply roll mine through gently spiced sugar. The boys like theirs glazed and dotted with sprinkles, especially if they have decorated them themselves.
Gently warm the butter in a saucepan, once melted remove from the heat and leave to cool. Mix the milk and water together and heat until lukewarm. Secure the dough hook to your mixer and place the flour, salt, sugar and yeast into the bowl, keeping the yeast apart.
