Switzerland is a cherry paradise, but it’s possible that no place loves their Chriesi (cherries) more than Zug. Famous for the beautiful trees that dot the landscape, this fruit has been the pride of the canton for centuries. Their famous cherry market was first documented in 1627, and their cherry bell, Chriesigloggä, in 1711. Once the cherries in Zug’s public orchard were ripe, the Chriesigloggä would ring for half an hour to signal the start of the Chriesisturm
