Cantaloupe Sundaes w/Black Pepper + Olive Oil

Growing up, summer desserts were simply a parade of different fruit served with vanilla ice cream. We lived a few miles away from the original Hudsonville Creamery and my mom would buy their ice cream in the three-gallon tubs normally reserved for ice cream shops to avoid running out. Our fruit + ice cream parade would start with strawberries in the early summer, then sweet cherries, then peaches, all simply cut up, tossed with a bit of sugar, and spooned over a big scoop of ice cream.
