This glaze is a staple in our house and can be used on cooked salmon fillets, pork or chicken. Simply pop them into a heated frying pan with a little oil, then pour over some of the glaze and spoon it over as the mixture thickens and becomes syrupy. Trout fillets are also a good alternative to salmon and are often good value for money.

Ingredients

  • 100 ml soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • a good pinch

Method

Rinse the quinoa and put in a pan with the stock. Bring to the boil, then cover with a lid and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 10-12 minutes, until all the liquid has been absorbed and the quinoa is just tender. Place in a bowl. This can be kept in the fridge at this stage.
