These cookies are inspired by cookies my cousin Brenda made for Halloween one year and also for a Día de los Muertos celebration. They use a basic sugar cookie dough with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg and are shaped like witches’ fingers, with fingernails made of roasted pepitas.
