    The Pampanga hot chocolate is made from native cacao mixed with a small amount of ground peanuts. The cacao comes in balls or tablets (called tableas), which are melted in hot carabao milk and brought to the guest in a batidor, a tall, narrow pitcher with a wooden beater and a handle that is rotated in swift motions by the palms of both hands to create a frothy top.
