The manager of the hotel where I stayed in Ahmadabad, a man named Chirag, invited me to his house to learn some home-style Gujarati dishes from his wife, Riku. It was a great afternoon, made even more delightful by Riku’s father and mother, who also contributed their ideas about food in Gujarat.
