This happy marriage is loosely inspired by both pasta alla vodka and a gnocchi di patate with tomato sauce. I use a combination of tomatoes and peppers for layers of brightness alongside the fresh green herbs. Why vodka? As well as sharpening the flavours of every fresh ingredient, it adds a touch of heat and balances out the sweetness of the fruitier flavours in the most enchanting way.
