There is nothing special about our squirrels on Daufuskie. They’re the same crafty little gray squirrels that gardeners cuss at and city folks feed in the parks elsewhere. Like squirrels most everywhere, they’re quick learners and know how to get away fast from trouble. On Daufuskie, with hungry folks, their dogs, and even a bobcat or two, trouble was usually nearby.
