A fine chap, who often says “some bread and a piece of cheese would do fine” when asked what he wants for a meal, but is a Tasmanian devil in the kitchen whipping up “down under” culinary wonders.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups buttermilk
  • 1 cup cream
  • ½ teaspoons

Method

Combine buttermilk, cream, paprika, salt, pepper in a medium size saucepan. Heat on medium heat until just warm and well mixed, then add corn meal, stirring constantly until smooth and heated through. Reduce heat to low.

Add melted butter, crabmeat, beaten eggs, green chilies, and cheese, stirring over low heat for 3 minutes. Pour the batter into a large greased cast iron pot. As bread
