Originally from Spain where they are usually served simply rolled in sugar, Argentinians have gone a step further and either serve churros filled with dulce de leche or dipped in chocolate. They are especially popular at seaside resorts.

Ingredients

  • 500 g/ lb/ cups strong white flour
  • 5

Method

  1. Sift the flour on to a small sheet of baking parchment. Bring the water and salt to the boil in a pan. Tip in the flour and beat vigorously with a wooden spoon until the mixture is smooth.
