Bakeries in Peru start selling Swiss chard pies at mid-morning. Eaten warm and fresh, they are simply delicious, and choosing between these pies and the empanadas with different fillings is difficult, as all of them are good. Use the filling for this pie to make little empanaditas if you wish.

Method

  1. To make the filling, blanch the Swiss chard in boiling water for 5 minutes then drain well and set aside.

  2. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the onion and garlic for 5 minutes until softened and starting to brown. Stir in the Swiss chard, nutme
