Rather than reach for a pack of highly-salted and processed crisps, choose protein-packed nuts that are flavoured with aromatic spices for a tasty and quick-to-make snack.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the nuts and fry over a medium heat for 1–2 minutes, stirring until lightly toasted. Add the spices, crushed chilli if using, and salt, and fry, stirring for 1 minute until the nuts are well coated in the spice mix and just beginning to darken.
