Ask anyone from Scotland and they’ll tell you that no Scottish breakfast is complete without a tattie scone! When I opened Café Cùil in East London, I wanted these delicious circles of joy to feature on my menu. To my dismay, I discovered that it was almost impossible to source proper Scottish tattie scones, so I decided to take matters into my own hands (literally). After a fair amount of trial and error, I feel like I perfected it.
