This bread is perfect served with a selection of cold meats, paté or cheese for a delicious lunchtime spread.

  • 200 ml/7 fl oz/ cup medium sweet cider, left to become flat

Method

  1. Pour the cider into the bread machine pan. Add the sunflower oil and chopped apple. If the instructions for your machine specify that the yeast is to be placed in the pan first, reverse the order in which you add the liquid and the dry ingredients.
