I had actually never heard of the joe frogger until I stumbled upon a bakery in maine selling these cookies by the dozen. They were huge—each one the size of a small pancake—and utterly addictive. Though I found the Joe Frogger in Maine, it is a native of Marblehead, Massachusetts, named after a famous resident, Joe Brown.
