Brazilian Chocolate and Cookie Fudge

Despite the name, which translates to “Italian straw” in English, this is a treat that is 100-percent Brazilian. It’s inspired by the Italian salami di cioccolato (chocolate salami), but is softer, like a fudge. This treat is traditionally made with store-bought maizena cookies, which you can find online or at Brazilian grocery stores, but I find that it works just as well with widely available graham crackers.
